Greenwood, S.C.: Urgent Search for Missing 19-Year-Old, Tyrell Wallace

Hey there, Greenwood community!

The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office is asking for our help. They are currently on the lookout for a missing 19-year-old, Tyrell Wallace. This young man was last seen on May 6, 2024, and since then, there has been no trace of his whereabouts. It’s a real worry for his family and friends, and we can only imagine what they must be going through.

Everyone is pitching in whatever way they can, but they need more eyes and ears out there. Tyrell might be anywhere, and any bit of information could be the key to finding him.

A Community Coming Together

When something like this happens, it’s heartwarming to see how a community pulls together. People are sharing posts on social media, putting up flyers, and talking to their neighbors—the kind of neighborly spirit that makes Greenwood so special.

Deputies emphasized that every detail counts. Did you see someone who looks like Tyrell? Did your friend mention seeing someone similar-looking? It might seem insignificant, but it could be important. They’ve asked anyone who has any information, no matter how small, to call the Greenwood County dispatch at 864-942-8632.

Everyone Can Help

You might feel like, “What can I do?” Well, a lot actually! Here’s a list of things you can do to help find Tyrell:

  • Share his story on your social media channels.
  • Talk to your friends and family and let them know what’s going on.
  • Keep an eye out when you’re out and about.
  • If you think you’ve spotted him, don’t hesitate to report it.

We Are All in This Together

Tyrell is one of us—someone’s son, friend, perhaps a neighbor, or a former classmate. His safety affects all of us. The quicker we can find him, the quicker this community can start to feel whole again.

The sheriff’s office is doing all they can, but they need our help. Let’s be those extra eyes and ears. Let’s spread the word and make sure Tyrell comes home safe.

Once again, if you know anything—no matter how small it seems—call the Greenwood County dispatch at 864-942-8632.

Thank you, Greenwood. Let’s find Tyrell and bring him home.

Stay safe and take care of each other!
