Storm Chances Expected to Return on Monday in Myrtle Beach with Lower Humidity to Follow Later in the Week

FIRST ALERT: Storm chances return Monday, lower humidity ahead

Myrtle Beach Prepares for More Afternoon Storms

Myrtle Beach, SC – Citizens of Myrtle Beach should brace themselves for another round of afternoon and evening storms on Monday. The region is forecasted to experience a heat index approaching 100 during the afternoon, according to the First Alert Weather Team. Communities are advised to expect these storms to settle by sunset.

With grounds across the area heavily saturated by previous rainfall, any additional rain could worsen the situation, leading to short-term flooding on the overly saturated roadways. These upcoming weather disruptions are the result of a cold front that has intensified local rainfall chances recently.

Respite from Storms and Humidity This Week

Come Tuesday, the cold front that has been largely responsible for these weather disruptions is expected to exit our area. This will usher in drier air and significantly reduce the humidity in the city until Friday, providing Myrtle Beach residents a much-needed breather from the on-going heat and humidity. An isolated shower or two can be expected throughout the remainder of the week, but no significant rainfall is predicted.

Weather Projections for the Upcoming Weekend

Looking into the next weekend, higher humidity levels are predicted to return, leading to a potential uptick in afternoon storm occurrence. These storms are forecasted to be a part of the summer-like weather expected next Saturday and Sunday. Residents and visitors are advised to stay tuned to weather updates and to prepare accordingly for any changes in weather conditions.

It is especially important to pay attention to these updates over the weekend and in the early part of the next week when large fluctuations in the weather are expected.

Be proactive in safeguarding your home and possessions from the potential impacts of storms and heavy rainfall. As always, careful preparation and understanding of the risks involved can go a long way in ensuring safety during periods of adverse weather conditions.
