Dr. Skinner, currently the president and CEO of the Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC), has made significant strides in genetic research and patient care since he first joined GGC as a trainee back in 1987. After years of dedication and exceptional leadership, he has been at the helm of the organization since 2011, guiding it toward greater collaboration and innovation in the realm of genetic disorders. His leadership is particularly noted for helping expand GGC’s impact in South Carolina and further afield, making strides in both research and community outreach.
The S.C. Life Sciences Pinnacle Award seeks to honor individuals whose work contributes positively to the economy, innovation, social well-being, and overall quality of life.
