The exhibit, titled “Mujer: Sanctuary”, will be on display starting August 21 and run through September 25. The reception and gallery visits are free of charge and open to the public. Guests are welcome to visit the gallery from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

About the Artists

Jorge Rojas is a muralist and educator with three decades of experience in the visual arts. Rojas is celebrated for his large-scale mural work and deep understanding of the human figure. He earned his formal education at the National University of Colombia and has previously served as both a studio artist and educator in Colombia. Over his extensive career, Rojas has designed and showcased murals in several countries, including Colombia, Brazil, the Philippines, and the United States. Additionally, he previously owned a company, Colombian Cobalt Blue, specializing in custom tableware and ceramic murals. Rojas currently resides in Greenville, working full-time as a commissioned muralist.

Siara Yazmin

Yazmin’s passion for art began at a young age, inspired by watching her mother and grandfather create a Disney mural in her childhood bedroom. She grew up captivated by vibrant cartoon shows and animated movies, finding endless freedom in painting and drawing. Faces, whether imagined or real, have always been her favorite subjects due to the rich emotions they inherently carry. “There is already so much emotion there, ready to complement the right style and colors,” she says. Yazmin is equally motivated by depicting animals, wildlife, and nature, hoping each piece she creates tells a compelling story that resonates with viewers.
