Columbus, Ohio recently hosted the eagerly anticipated 2024 America in Bloom Program symposium and awards celebration from September 26-28. **Greenwood** emerged as a notable victor, securing both the coveted Community Vitality Outstanding Achievement Award and the Economic Impact – Best Program for Local Business Award. These awards mark significant milestones in the city’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and energize its community.
Adding to its accolades, Greenwood also received special recognition for its remarkable community vitality. This commendation clings to the evaluation provided by the program’s appointed advisors, Teresa Woodard and Jack Clasen, who visited the community during the summer. With registrations for the upcoming 2025 national awards program open until February 28, 2025, interested participants have ample time to apply. Eligible candidates include towns, cities, college and university campuses, business districts, military installations, and officially recognized neighborhoods of larger cities.
