According to a press release from County Coroner Sonny Cox, authorities responded to a call about a death at a residence located at the corner of Cokesbury Street and Durst Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. During the investigation, police discovered Demetrous Childs, aged 43, of Independence Way, with a fatal stab wound to the chest. Unfortunately, Childs was pronounced dead at the scene.
