Greenwood Young Life Social Event

**Mark your calendars** for one of the biggest social events of the year hosted by Greenwood Young Life. This event will provide a wonderful opportunity to learn about the organization, meet the new area director, and discover how you can positively impact the local community. High School Volleyball Matches

Sports enthusiasts can rejoice as several volleyball matches are scheduled. On **Tuesday, September 3**, at 5:15 PM, the Varsity Opponent team will face off against Greenwood Mennonite at home. Meanwhile, at 4 PM, an exciting non-conference match between Greenwood and Wink will take place.

Lecture Series at Lander University

Lander University will host a compelling lecture titled “Fighting Infamy: A Marine Fighter Pilot’s Epic Stand at the Battle of Wake Island” by Dr. William Ramsey. The lecture is scheduled for **Tuesday, September 3**, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at The Arts Center of Greenwood. Refreshments will be available, and admission is free.

Breast Health Screening Event

There will be an informative session on breast health, emphasizing the importance of ultrasound screening to increase the detection of breast cancer. It’s a smart preventive measure, especially beneficial for women with dense breasts, enhancing detection by up to 97%.

Center Grove High School College Planning Night

Center Grove High School will hold a college planning night, welcoming students and parents. Mini Camp for Kids

Parents in Montclair can take advantage of a mini camp for kids on Tuesday and Wednesday before school starts. Activities will include painting, collage, and games, with a parent and me option available for children under 5. Free onsite parking is provided.

  • TVPs first game of the 2024/25 season against the South Central Ambulance Service Sharks is on Friday at 7:30 PM. The event features a bar and club house open for refreshments.
  • On the same evening at 7 PM, there will be a non-conference football game between **Greenwood (AR) and Northside (Fort Smith, AR)**.
  • Center Grove High School will host the **Ware Shoals vs Landrum** High School football game on Friday, September 6, at 7:30 PM.

Youth and Family Events

  • **Scrapbook Retreat** registration is open for September, providing a weekend of creative fun.
  • Greenwood will host an **Evening of Books** on Friday, September 6, featuring fall spooky and magical releases, with tasty appetizers and beverages.
