With her extensive background in teaching students from pre-kindergarten all the way to college in five different countries, Dr. Schiera brings a wealth of international experience to the discussion. She has worked with various educational organizations, including renowned institutions like Oxford University Press, to transform teacher training and curriculum development.

Bringing Research to the Community

Dr. Schiera holds a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is not just passionate about education but has also been deeply involved with the Lander University Faculty Senate. Additionally, she co-coordinates the Call Me MiSTER chapter at Lander University, fostering educational leadership and teacher development.

For over a decade, she contributed to curriculum development in the Sultanate of Oman, focusing on teacher transformation and providing essential training to educators. Her work has reached beyond the classroom; she has been active in professional organizations like the Association for Childhood Education International and the National Council of Teachers of English.
