Greenwood County Approves New Sales and Use Tax to Fund Community Enhancements and Projects

Greenwood County Voters Say ‘Yes’ to New Projects with Sales and Use Tax

Hey there, friends in Greenwood County! So, guess what? Our community recently came together to make some exciting decisions at the polls. With more than 63% of voters casting their votes in favor, we have officially got ourselves a new sales and use tax. What’s it for, you ask? Well, it’s going to fund a bunch of pretty awesome projects right here in our own backyard!

Piedmont Technical College Gets a Boost!

First off, the tax means that Piedmont Technical College will get the chance to build a brand spanking new career center. This is fabulous news for anyone looking to expand their skills or dive into a whole new career path. More training and educational opportunities are definitely on the way.

Advancements in Public Safety Training

Safety is another biggie on our agenda. Thanks to the approved taxation, Greenwood County will soon see a new public safety training center. This upgrade is set to enhance the safety measures for everyone, with better-trained personnel equipped to handle emergencies in a flash.

Improvements Across the Community

The benefits don’t stop there. The tax will also be pumped into upgrades and improvements across various municipal facilities, ensuring our public spaces are safe, efficient, and up-to-snuff. Whether it’s our community libraries or public parks, these improvements will certainly make our county an even better place to live.

Infrastructure on the Up and Up

Hold onto your steering wheels because the approval of this tax also means significant upgrades to our roads, bridges, and utilities. These infrastructure improvements are just what we need to smooth out those bumpy roads and keep the lights on without a hitch — making our daily commutes much more pleasant and safe!

Seasonal Delights

While we’re rolling out the welcome mat for these community enhancements, it’s also the time of year when we roll out some cozy comforts and tasty treats! With throw blankets available in any style, color, and fabric, you can snuggle up warm this season. And, for those who fancy a hot cuppa, get ready because the special holiday menu at a local coffee shop makes its debut soon, delicious drinks that’ll definitely keep you toasty.

Staying Active and Warm

For the fitness buffs out there, winter exercise apparel has got you covered — literally — with plenty of styles and colors to suit every part of your body, keeping you moving even when it’s chilly outside. With these projects and all the exciting seasonal activities happening, this really is a great time to be part of Greenwood County.

So, hats off to you, Greenwood County voters! With your decisions, you’re paving the way for a brighter, safer, and more bustling community. Let’s celebrate the beginning of these exciting new developments and the coziness of the season ahead!
