The Greenwood SC Chamber of Commerce will host its annual meeting on January 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Medford Family Event Center. The event will celebrate the successes of 2024, honor community leaders, and outline initiatives for the upcoming year. Special recognition will also be given to the recipient of the Greenwood County Hall of Fame. The meeting promises to be a time of reflection and community celebration.

In addition to the meeting, let’s not forget about the S.C. Festival of Flowers, which recently bagged multiple awards at the 2024 IFEA Awards! This year’s theme, “See What the Buzzz is About,” really resonated with the community and brought folks together to celebrate our beautiful surroundings. The festival not only won a Gold Award for Best Cover Design and another for Best Facebook Site, but also took home several awards in various categories. It’s heartening to see our local events shine on such a grand stage!
Additionally, Donna Dolphin was honored as an IFEA 2024 Semi-Finalist for Volunteer of the Year, highlighting the spirit of volunteerism that runs deep in Greenwood. This kind of recognition encourages all of us to join in and contribute to our community’s vibrancy.
