Exciting New Faces Join the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Board

Greenwood – A City Embracing Change

In a heartening development for the Greenwood community, the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Board of Trustees has recently welcomed four capable new trustees. These fresh faces include Dr. Bryan Green, Denise Manley, Dr. Joanna Sadurski, and Lynn Vaughn. As these dynamic individuals step in, they join an impressive team dedicated to enhancing healthcare services, education, and development efforts in Greenwood and the broader Lakelands region.

An Impressive Line-Up of New Trustees

Among the new additions, Dr. Bryan Green stands out with his extensive experience in the medical field. He is not only a well-respected physician at the Digestive Disease Group but also the President of the South Carolina Gastroenterology Foundation. Having made Greenwood his home for the last two decades, Dr. Green brings a wealth of expertise and local understanding to the board.

Denise Manley, a lifelong Greenwood resident, is another formidable addition. As the owner of two beloved local businesses, Mary Frances Limited and Sweet Teas Children’s Boutique, Denise is rooted in the community. Her involvement doesn’t stop there. She’s an active participant in the Foundation’s Special Gifts Committee and serves on the Greenwood Promise Board and the Greater Greenwood Clemson Club Board. Her strong business acumen and dedication make her an invaluable asset to the board.

Dr. Joanna Sadurski brings her specialized skills to the table as the Director of Medical Oncology at Self Regional Healthcare. Her commitment is further evidenced by her board certifications in ABIM Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Sadurski also plays a key role in nurturing the future of healthcare through her work with the PA Program at Presbyterian College.

Rounding out the new trustee group is Lynn Vaughn, a devoted Greenwood resident for 33 years. As a Registered Nurse at Cedar Rock Plastic Surgery, her experience in patient care is unquestionable. Lynn also holds the position of Board Secretary for Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, cementing her status as a compassionate healthcare advocate.

A Fond Farewell to Outgoing Trustees

As these new members step in, the board bids a warm farewell to the departing trustees: John Davidson, Erin Layland, Dr. Tom Pritchard, and Walter Roark. These individuals have contributed immensely to the Foundation’s mission over the years, and their dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Looking Ahead with Returning Leaders

Adding to the excitement, familiar faces continue to lead the charge. Returning trustees include influential figures like Dr. Lincoln McGinnis, Chuck Rimsky, Annette Scott, Laurie Smith, and Chelsey Steifle. The continuity in leadership ensures that the Foundation’s work will continue uninterrupted.

Top board roles have once again been assigned to seasoned leaders: John Cooper as Chair, Glenda Corley as Vice-Chair, Chris Clem as Treasurer, and Chuck Rimsky as Secretary. Their steady guidance is sure to bolster the Foundation’s projects and goals.

A Message of Gratitude

Acknowledging the valuable contributions of both past and present trustees, Ken Coffey, Executive Director of the Foundation, expressed his appreciation, “We are incredibly thankful for the outstanding service of our outgoing board members and are excited to collaborate with the newest members of our board.”

The addition of Dr. Green, Denise Manley, Dr. Sadurski, and Lynn Vaughn breathes new life into the board, promising a future rich in collaboration and community-focused healthcare advancements. As Greenwood looks ahead, the commitment to improving healthcare services remains stronger than ever.
