Dak Prescott Makes Strides in Recovery After Hamstring Injury

Dallas: Dak Prescott’s Road to Recovery Brings Good News

Hey, Dallas! Here’s some news that just might brighten your day. Our favorite quarterback, **_Dak Prescott_**, is hitting some major milestones as he bounces back from that hamstring injury. You know, the one that sidelined him back on November 3 during the game against the Atlanta Falcons. He recently shared some exciting updates about his recovery journey.

A Big Step Forward

Just a month after the injury, Dak told reporters that he’s finally back behind the wheel. “This is actually my first day driving,” he shared with a smile, “so I’m living it up in the truck right now.” Not only is he behind the wheel again, but he’s also feeling optimistic. “Wearing a brace but being able to drive again after a few weeks is a huge win,” he added. It’s amazing how little victories can boost morale, right?

He mentioned that he’s still using crutches but is thrilled to have a more normal walking stride now. “I can put more weight on my leg,” he said. These little victories are crucial as he navigates his recovery, which has included surgery—he had to get a procedure on November 13 to repair the hamstring tendon that partially tore off the bone. Ouch!

Rehab Routines and Offseason Vibes

Prescott’s been working hard on his rehabilitation. “I’ve started some weight transfers and different core exercises,” he revealed. The plan is to get back on his feet and eventually trade in those crutches for some serious workouts. That sounds like a solid goal, doesn’t it?

With the offseason looming ahead, Dak doesn’t have a hard and fast timeline for his return, which actually takes off some of the pressure. At this point, the Cowboys have five regular-season games left and only a measly 4 percent chance of making it to the playoffs, based on NFL stats. For the record, the Cowboys were 3-5 with Dak before he got hurt. Since then, they’ve gone 2-2. So, while the team is hoping for a spark, Dak is more focused on getting back in shape.

Not Rushing Things

“Not necessarily rushing back,” Prescott said, taking a thoughtful pause. He envisions entering the offseason completely unrestricted. “By the time that comes, I’ll be full go, not even in the rehab mode and working to make myself a better quarterback for this team.” It’s such a refreshing mindset to hear, especially in a sport where pressure can get overwhelming.

Staying in the Game from the Sidelines

While Dak’s on the mend, he’s keeping his game face on from the sidelines. During the Thanksgiving game, he took a spot in the coach’s booth to avoid any potential collisions. Yikes! He recalls a close call during the November 10 game against the Eagles, where he almost found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But he’s not just sitting back and relaxing. Prescott is still very much involved with the team, chatting with Cooper Rush and the other quarterbacks. He’s been stopping by meetings to lift everyone’s spirits, reminding them to keep the vibes positive. “Taking a lot of notes,” he stated, emphasizing how much he misses the game. He’s diving into film study too, thinking about offensive plays and what he could do differently when he’s back on the field.

Looking Ahead

Even though he’s physically sidelined, Dak believes this rehab phase is all about small wins. “The rehab has started, already starting to get those small goals and victories, from one day to another,” he said. “So looking exciting.” And you can feel the excitement radiating through his words! Dallas fans, let’s keep our fingers crossed for Dak’s speedy recovery—he’s clearly gearing up for an amazing comeback.
