Cathy’s experience also includes serving as the CFO of Wesley Commons and director of finance at Capsugel, a role that allowed her to travel and learn on an international stage. In 2014, she founded her passion for helping others when she became the executive director at Beyond Abuse, a nonprofit devoted to supporting victims of child abuse and sexual assault. She dedicated five years to this noble cause before retiring in 2019.

Her next adventure was the interim county treasurer role, which sparked her interest in local politics. Realizing she wanted to contribute even more to the community, she ran for the County Council District 4 seat in 2024 and emerged victorious!
