The couple, who met in kindergarten, turned a typical Saturday game into a cherished memory. Dalton, orchestrating the proposal, dressed as Lander’s popular mascot, Mr. Bearcat, to pop the question during a timeout performance by the Spirit Team’s Sassy Cat dancers. As the crowd cheered, the moment unfolded on the court, transforming the event into a personal celebration.

The proposal took place during the first timeout of the game, where Karlie was performing with her dance team. Unbeknownst to her, Dalton was waiting in costume at center court, ready to reveal himself and propose.
