Greenwood School District 50 Approves Construction of New $9.9 Million Field House
Greenwood, S.C. – Exciting developments are underway in Greenwood School District 50 as the district has given the green light for a brand-new $9.9 million field house at Greenwood High School. This state-of-the-art facility is set to become a key component for the school’s athletic programs.
The Vision for the New Field House
The new field house will boast a multipurpose design, featuring the following:
- Weight room for strength training
- Coaching offices to strategize and plan
- Training and rehabilitation room for student-athlete wellness
- Modern locker room with updated facilities

Construction Timeline
Construction of the field house is slated to begin in the summer of 2024 and is expected to be completed by the fall of 2025. This timeline provides ample time to ensure the facility meets all standards and expectations, benefiting high school athletes for years to come.
